ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has carried out a significant reshuffling of seven senior tax officials (BS-20/21), including key members of the Board. The changes were formalized through two notifications issued on Friday.
As per the notification regarding Pakistan Customs Service (BS-21) officials, Syed Hamid Ali, formerly a Member of FBR (HQ) Islamabad, has been reassigned as Director General of the Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi. Meanwhile, Muhammad Sadiq, previously serving as the Director General of Customs Valuation, Karachi, has now been appointed as Chief Collector.
Additionally, another notification outlined the new assignments for five senior officers from the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) (BS-20/21).
- Ahmad Shuja Khan (IRS/BS-21), previously Chief Commissioner at Regional Tax Office, Lahore, has been transferred as Member (Audit/CRM), FBR (HQ), Islamabad.
- Saadia Sadaf Gilani (IRS/BS-21), who served as Member (Admin/HR), has been reassigned as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Corporate Tax Office, Lahore.
- Muhammad Iqbal (IRS/BS-21) will now take charge as Member (Admin/HR), FBR (HQ), Islamabad.
- Karamatullah Khan Chaudhry (IRS/BS-21), previously Member (Audit/CRM), FBR (HQ), Islamabad, has been appointed as Member (Taxpayers’ Services), FBR (HQ), Islamabad.
- Amna Faiz Bhatty (IRS/BS-20), who was serving as Chief Commissioner (OPS), Corporate Tax Office, Lahore, has now been posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue (OPS), Regional Tax Office, Lahore.
These high-level transfers and postings are part of the FBR’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and improve tax governance across the country.
