ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has officially set up a Customs warehousing station in District Buner, further expanding its network to facilitate trade and customs operations.
The decision was formalized through a Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) issued on Monday, amending SRO 111(1)/83. This amendment was made under the authority granted by Section 11 of the Customs Act, 1969.
According to the notification, the FBR has added District Buner to Schedule I of its earlier SRO 111(1)/83, originally issued on February 12, 1983. This move designates specific locations where public warehouses can be appointed, and private warehouses may obtain licensing.
The official Gazette notification confirms the establishment of these warehousing stations, aiming to streamline customs storage facilities and enhance trade compliance in the region.
