PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has achieved a remarkable revenue collection of Rs24.2 billion during the first six months of the 2024-25 financial year, reflecting a 45% increase compared to Rs16.7 billion collected during the same period last year.
This growth translates into an additional Rs7.5 billion in revenue. Of the total collections, Rs18.15 billion was generated from sales tax on services, while Rs6.07 billion was collected from the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC).
In comparison, last year the KPRA earned Rs14.6 billion from sales tax on services and Rs2.1 billion from IDC. This indicates a 24% increase in sales tax on services and a staggering 189% surge in IDC collections.
Fouzia Iqbal, the Director General of KPRA, commended the authority’s team for their dedication, which has driven this impressive performance. She expressed confidence that with continued effort, the annual revenue target would not only be met but surpassed. Iqbal also stated that, with sustained commitment and strategic planning, KPRA is poised to stand out as a model of excellence in performance by the end of June.
